A warm welcome to Soft Options Interiors from business partners Janet Hopkins and Christine White. Since founding our business in 1986 we continue to create inspirational interiors for private and commercial clients. Trained in London, we are practised designers and technicians and still just as passionate about design and textiles as we were when we started back then. We have the expertise to help you develop your ideas and achieve beautiful styling in your home or workplace. You can choose from a wide range of fabrics, trims and wallpapers with a multitude of textures and colour palettes. Sumptous velvets and chenilles; iridescent silks; sheers and satins; prints; florals; contemporary geometrics; tapestries, and beautiful accessories are all in our showroom.
How we operate
You may know exactly what you want, or you may like to consult with us and we'd be delighted to advise you how to achieve the maximum impact for your budget.
We don’t have a minimum order. Whether it's a complete makeover, or cushions to transform a sofa, or altering your existing curtains - that's fine.
Once you’ve decided, we measure up, calculate the materials required and give you a quote. If you wish to proceed we then agree a delivery date and complete an order with a 20% deposit.
We hand make your soft furnishings in our own workroom. This is fundamental to how we do business to control quality. We don't use outworkers.
When we’re ready to hang curtains, or deliver goods, we’ll call you to make an appointment and the final payment is due on delivery.
We're very flexible:
- we're happy to sew fabric you've bought elsewhere.
- you can hang your own curtains.
- you can order wallpaper and fabrics from us.
- you may be interested in our curtain kits - where we cut the fabric (pattern match, seam allowances etc) and provide you with advice and everything you need for you to complete the job.
Design Consultancy
As design consultants we can provide you with a complete room or house makeover. Our design consultancy work is calculated on an hourly, or day rate. You may want a mood board to pull your ideas together, this can really help when discussing ideas with your family and friends. Mood boards can vary in complexity and content.
Our extended team of professional craftspeople
We have a network of reliable, skilled craftsmen who we can recommend to complete your makeover, these include professional decorators and upholsterers whose work and skill we trust.
How to pay
We accept payment by cash, cheque and all major debit and credit cards (except AMEX).
Kick start your ideas, come and see our extensive range of sample fabrics, wallpaper, trims, poles, fittings and home accessories to compliment your finished look.
Or, to talk through your ideas we can visit you at home where we can see how the room is used, its aspect, and how the light changes at certain times of day. Then we can make suggestions on fabric type, colour palette, fittings and trims. And if you can't visualise the finished effect - a mood board is an excellent way of bringing the whole scheme together.
